Accepting new clients for therapy services

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the most common questions I get asked about working together.

If you don’t see your question listed feel free to contact me

Where is your office located?

My office is located at 5300 Town and Country Blvd Suite 240, Frisco, TX 75034. I am currently accepting clients on Saturdays from 9am-1pm. My office space is geographically convenient not only for clients located in Frisco, but also surrounding areas including Prosper, Little Elm, Plano, Hebron, and The Colony. I will provide you further information on accessing the building after establishing care.

No. While I bring a unique cultural lens to working with adult children of immigrants, you do not need to fit this background exactly for us to work together. If something in my focus and style resonates with you, I invite you to book a free consultation to get a sense if we’d be a good fit

Yes. I believe in practicing what I teach. There are different ways to implement therapy tools, and we’ll get to refine them in ways that work best for you. We’ll explore which tools resonate with you and how to integrate them into your lifestyle.

The short answer: It depends on how deep we go, and that’s your choice. To get a sense of what the research says about therapy timelines, you can read more here: APA — How Long Does Treatment Take?

Hidden Depths Therapy strives to look beyond symptoms to understand what’s really driving them. Once we’ve worked through the root causes of what brought you in, how much further you want to explore is entirely up to you. Some clients feel ready to leave therapy at that point. Others find themselves curious to keep going. Either way, we’ll move at your pace. Depth work asks for real emotional and financial investment, and I want to make sure we’re building something that’s sustainable for you, not something that feels like another pressure to manage.

My clients start with weekly sessions, since consistency builds momentum: it takes time to rewire the habit of pushing through, and showing up weekly helps you gradually build the muscle of self-agency instead of soldiering on. As you progress, we will determine together when you are ready to step down to the option of biweekly sessions.

Please note that you can pause or stop at any time. That said, I’d encourage you to give it real time. In my experience, the most meaningful shifts tend to happen right after the moments that feel the hardest to sit with.

How much do sessions cost and how do you accept payment?

Your investment is $300 for 50 min sessions. I accept Visa card payments, as well as HSA and FSA payments. Visit the contact page to get started.

No, I am an out-of-network provider and do not directly accept insurance. However, I can provide a superbill upon request, which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your specific out-of-network benefits.

Please also note that submitting a superbill requires a mental health diagnosis, which will be shared with your insurance provider and become part of your medical record. Many clients appreciate the added level of privacy that comes with being entirely self-pay, though you’re welcome to choose whichever option best fits your needs.

Before our first session, I recommend calling the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask them:

  •  Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

  •  Have I met my out-of-network deductible? If not, how much is remaining?

  •  What percentage does my plan reimburse for out-of-network mental health services?

  •  Is there an out-of-pocket maximum for out-of-network services?

  • Are telehealth sessions covered under my out-of-network benefits?
  • Do I need a referral or prior authorization to see an out-of-network therapist?

How do I submit a superbill?

Once you receive your superbill from me, contact your insurance company and ask:

  •  How do I submit an out-of-network claim?

  • What is the deadline for submitting claims after a session?

  • How long does reimbursement typically take?

  • Will reimbursement come as a check or direct deposit?

What CPT codes do you use?

The most common codes for individual therapy are 90837 (60 minutes), 90834 (45 minutes), and 90791 (initial assessment). Your superbill will include the appropriate code for each session

If you are paying out of pocket (not using insurance), you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of services under the No Surprises Act.

This estimate outlines the anticipated cost of your therapy sessions so you can better understand and plan for your care.

You’ll receive a Good Faith Estimate before starting services, and you can request an updated version at any time.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charges.
