Cindy Yang, LPC, Psychotherapist and Founder of Hidden Depths Therapy
Serving high achieving adults online throughout TX, and in-person in Frisco, TX
Hi, I’m Cindy
I help high-achieving adult children of immigrants like you understand the deeper patterns that drive these cycles of pressure, overthinking, and burnout, so that you can return to enjoying the life you’ve built. Hidden Depths Therapy is where you’re allowed to stop performing, slow down, and listen to what your body has been trying to tell you all these years.
What you can expect
from our work:
Relief from Performance Mode
Many of my clients are used to being the reliable one — the person others depend on to stay composed, capable, and in control. Maybe you feel pressured to be a “good client” in therapy. In our work together, you’re invited to show up exactly as you are, at your own pace.
Collaboration from
Day One
We work as a team: you remain the expert on your own life experiences while I bring psychological training to help you see those experiences from a different angle. My clients often feel comfortable saying when something doesn’t resonate or when an approach we’ve tried isn’t working. These conversations allow us to make meaningful adjustments to keep the work moving in a genuine and productive way.
Insight That Leads to Change
Our conversations don’t stay theoretical. We’ll turn insights into concrete, cumulative action steps to create lasting change. Over time, your efforts will feel more natural and you’ll begin to relate to yourself, your work, and your relationships with more clarity and choice
- What our work is NOT:
- A space stuck in surface-level venting : While there will be room to discuss stressors happening in real time, our work together goes beyond simply venting about what happened since your last session. After meetingyou where you’re at, I will gently challenge you to consider how these current stressors fit into the bigger picture and what’s driving your responses
- A quick fix for long-standing patterns: Many of the pressures my clients experience have developed over years of responsibility, expectations, and surviving hardship. Hidden Depths Therapy is a place to slow down and work through these patterns intentionally rather than finding a bandaid solution.
- A place to avoid discomfort: At times, we will explore thoughts, emotions, or patterns that you’ve learned to push aside in order to keep functioning. While this can feel uncomfortable at first, it is where the most meaningful growth happens.
